Arrived 13.30 to find the aire full. Five or so Motorhomes parked in a 'buses only' area. We had a walk around and discovered a rough piece of ground nearby with a couple of vans and a few cars. We parked there and within a couple of hours it was full of vans, including a massively long tag axle French van complete with car on trailer. It was amusing watching him maneuvering backwards and forwards as he tried to get a satellite signal. We had resigned ourselves to a night without tv but our Fenchman was made of sterner stuff. His branch lopper - all of 10 ft long - made short work of several hefty boughs. His dish - the one on his roof, not the 4ft diameter jobbo on the car trailer - needed attention. Needless to say he was able to produce a 12ft extending ladder. Next morning he was gone.
On Friday 13th we had lunch in one of the restaurants on the Plaza Mayor. The fixed 3 course menu including a glass of wine was €12. OK, but nothing special. It's sunny, but there is a breeze and it's quite cool so we ate in the restaurant rather than on the plaza.
