Week One in NZ -
Its about time we slowed down the daily diary to weekly. The first week saw us move hostel and rooms 4 times at least, so lots of unpacking and repacking. And starting to look for work, we thought starting to look early would mean we'd spend less money. We seemed to spend the whole time wandering from one end of the city centre to the next, visting dodgy flats, estate agencies, and even dodgier employment agencies.
Week Two in NZ -
Our second week began with finally finding and moving in to a place of our own - an unfurnished Art Deco flat only minutes from the city centre, arts centre and park. Address: FLAT 2, 19 CASHEL STREET, CHRISTCHURCH. It seems that the furnished places were just the pits! and over priced! So we've had to pick up some bits to furnish the place, but will have to get jobs before splashing out on any more. Rach has got herself a child day care job for a week, but it probably won't last at it seems too much hard work and travelling for not much money. And I've finally got a job at an architects just round the corner, starting next week. Last weekend we finally got around to some touristy stuff - saw the museum and mooched around the arts centre, then took a look around the art gallery on sunday.
