I've been back in Bangkok for the past couple of days getting ready for the final leg of my trip which is to Myanmar.

It's been 3 years and 3 tries to get there since my first attempt, and the time is finally here!

I had to get some US dollars as there are no ATM's, no credit cards, and no travelers cheques accepted! Plus, you can't have bills with certain serial numbers because they are afraid they may be counterfeit, and they can't be torn smudged or even folded. So, I hope that I've got my pristine bills and I'm ready to go!

I've been reading a lot today to figure out my route, which I should have done long ago, but it always seems to happen this way! Anyhow, it seems really good and I'm getting quite excited.

Reports from other travelers are all very positive. Full steam ahead!

I expect to have internet in Yangon where I arrive, so will update in day or two.
