Parry's Travels
Pai, while, a little more built up than before, still retains the original charm for which I liked it. Just a tiny village of a few thousand people, nestled in a valley along the banks of a river and surrounded by lush hillside. Each morning a heavy mist pervades the town, but gradually lifts as the morning sun rises.
To get here from Chiang Mai, the road climbs steeps, and twists - the are 762 sharps curves in the road, leaving you grasping the back of the seat in front of you, pale-faced, and fighting your churning stomach. Our bus stopped on the roadside twice to let people out and vomit. It's a tough trip, but Pai is really worth it.
