Friday 23rd March Journal entry brought to you by Tami Today we went to Manly Beach with Chris and Rich. We caught the ferry over after watching Bruce’s show in the square again, and bought some FIT sandwiches from the deli by the quay – SO good. Except I had really really bad toothache and was having trouble opening my mouth wide enough to get the thing in. Hurt. (It’s okay now (a week later) so don’t worry! :-P Will explain in a later entry). The beach was very pretty but there was a bluebottle jellyfish warning, so we all had to be careful. Rich, Soph and Chris went in the sea but I was getting really into my book (First Among Equals, Archer – should you care) and stayed on the beach to watch the stuff. After an hour or so, Rich came out and I was going to go in, but walking down to the water I saw about 20 blue bottles on the sand and was like, No. I value not being in pain too much to risk this. When the other two had come back out of the sea we chatted for a bit, then I went on a mission to buy a ball. We played catch / football / donkey / volleyball for a couple of hours (the wind wanted to play as well and made this very difficult). We then wandered through the town and bought some postcards and veggie sushi (which I am SO into right now, eating it most days – filling, healthy and really cheap (-: ). We then caught the ferry back to the city and returned to the hostel.I’m sure we did something that night but to be honest it was so long ago I can’t remember, and all I have in my diary was “Bought veggie sushi” and “Had toothache”. Sorry guys! Boring entry. Will do better.
