Okay, short blog entry...
We've arrived in Napier, safe and sound.
After parking Rosie by a park, we strolled around in the Art Deco capital of New Zealand. It's a nice little city just by the coast with a very long beach. In fact, Dave thought it was so nice he felt the need to stroll all the way in to the ocean and got his legs and shoes completely soaked.
I saw it coming miles away and with the camera ready for a picture, I did warn him by saying 'Daaaaave....', but he didn't quite realise that the massive wave approaching would reach his feet, so he waited for it to do so before running away.
At 2pm we went to the Aqua Lodge hostel just 5 mins from the city centre, checked in, went to get our groceries out of the car, only to realise there was no space in any of the 3 fridges. We sat in our room for about 10 mins, with the smell of mould and something else I don't want to know, and decided that this is not a place we want to stay at for a week.
So we called another backpackers that have the same arrangements as this one does (that they will get you work if you stay with them), went to the reception and changed our stay to 1 night.
We are off to the cinema now to see The Momunents Men and then back to the mould for a sleep to make it pass quicker...!
