Our first day in Paris we awoke to rain but couldn't let that stop us so we made our way to the Eiffel Tower where we went up to the top and got some photos of the surrounding city. Then we did the Arc De Triomphe before going to a Moulin Rouge show. In my opinion the show was pretty incredible.
Saturday we ventured out to see the Notre Dame Cathedral and then went and had a drink at the Hard Rock Cafe Paris. This was the night of the concert Neon Trees that Evan had got me tickets for as a Christmas present and it ended up being a good show so that was fun.
Sunday we'd both had enough of Paris. I think everyone who has an interest to should visit Paris once and experience all the cliché tourist attractions but otherwise the people are rude, the city is a dirty one and it's expensive! So you really don't need much time there.
Evan got in touch with a friend he had met through previous travels and she invited us to stay at her place in Rouen. It took us only an hour by train to get to and the city is small but much nicer and has a lot of history in itself. It was the city Joan of Arc was born in some 600 years ago. Cerise was a fabulous tour guide and hostess, which made it a wonderful ending to our time in France. Off to Rome we go!
