Desperate measures for desperate times . . .
6am rise to enter the jiuzhaigou national park.
A tip for anyone looking go, save yourself 9quid by not buying a bus ticket as you never get asked, we didnt have one and we bus hopped fine.
If you look at our pics, it is beautiful. However, I would like to point out laura and I trapsed round in the peeing rain all day taking these photos. The camera makes the whole day look like glorious sunshine. But your best looking at the pics than me attempting to describe.
We got soaked, our feet wet, clothes wet, we were freezing. We walked all morning and after 4hours reached the tourist centre at the midway point. All we wanted was a cuppa, but was only able to get a buffet, so we compromised for hot food.
Still freezing the shop only sold panda hats, so in our Desperate state had no choice but to purchase one each, lauras fatty stringy meat, mine bak choi, we have a food theme for our collection of panda names.
Well I have to say its the best £2.50 ever spent as this resulted in hysterical fits of laughter every time we looked at each other looking like such t***.
As we couldn't feel our feet we bus hopped the rest of the park.
As we were walking in the rain there was noone around as everyone was on the bus, so it was so peaceful.
Gorgeous views, worth the horrendous ordeal of yesterday.
Hot showers and cups of tea were so welcomed when we got back. Pretty much stayed around the hotel as it was peeing down still outside, so after a wander we used the wifi to start planning bits of the route, not particularly interesting to tell you about. Xx
