Jealously of les young . . .
Early morning rise, as we had to be up the 'lane' to get our great wall tour bus.
Roughly two hours bus ride, Laura kipped and I rested my eyes. Once there we got to walk 22towers in 2hours. We were shocked at how there is no warnings about the unsafeness of walking the part of the wall we went to. It was gorgeous though, a good trek really, up steep rubble hills and millions of stairs. Laura got extremely snappy happy. We did have one disaster, my idea of course so we decided not to ever listen to me. Rather than walking the stairs, I got Laura to give me a leg up onto the ledge, and when I was pulling her up, her walking up the wall, she lost her footing and was left dangling, I slowly lowered her back, but her bar had been slightly scratched, she'll live.
Journey back Laura kipped. We went for a cuppa a wander, tea. At tea time we got chatting to a couple next to us, I'd ordered augbergine, which came out battered, so I ordered something else as it was rank, and I gave my dish to the guy, who loved it, he was American, so he gave me his bak choi so I had a lot of healthy veggies for tea.
Another cuppa where I had an 'episode' I'd been rather ill all day, my head banging, my stomach I thought was going to explode even though I wasn't eating or drinking anything and I was peeing quite a bit.
So after tea it just threw me. I thought I was going to collapse. I had a fever, freezing cold, sweating, I had to run out the shop I thought I was going to throw up, I was shaking, so I burst into tears on the street, wandered back in to join Laura and cried into her shoulder for about 10seconds then had to strip off as I was having a flush. Pathetic I know. So we chilled there for a while, and then headed home to bed. Xx
