Went for a brief excursion into the Netherlands last night, where we, along with Wolfgang and his family, got to watch a university presentation by Julia (Bjorn's sister) as part of her physiotherapy degree. Although it was all in Dutch, it was a good experience to share with the family, and celebratory drinks were had afterwards.
Today, we accompanied Wolfgang as he took a large group of his pupils to a climbing center in Ahlen. The center is set in the infrastructure of a former underground coal mine, which is a very interesting use of the space. Both of us climbed, although I had a bit more experience than Pierre, due to a climbing camp I took a number of years ago. We had a lot of fun, and I put another activity on my list of things to do when I get down to the Elk Valley.
Afterwards, we grabbed a quick bite to eat at the Roth house before going with Wolfgang for a cooling dip in the local channel before relaxing in the sun in the backyard. The temperature almost reached thirty today, and it is beautiful.
