1230. On the train out of Barcelona, bound for Figuer-Vilafant, France, where we snag a train to Montpellier within twenty minutes of our arrival. Well, we say goodbye to Paris this evening, catching a train from Gare d'Austerlitz at 830 ish, out to Barcelona. Today will be spent relaxing.. Slept in til almost ten today, got a fantastic sleep, so feeling really good today. My overall impression of Paris? Well, if the city had a motto, it'd be 'go big or go home'! Napoleon's tomb. Massive, especially for such a little guy. The French venerate Napoleon and this is shown in full detail at the Hotel des Invalides, where statues and paintings of him are common, and his giant tomb dominates the building. Ps. If Napoleon ever became a zombie, he could NEVER get out of that casket. Which is good because the British would've pooped themselves to see zombie Napoleon coming at them.

Today was a tiring day, but we managed to see a lot. Visited L'Hotel des Invalides, which holds some of the most incredible exhibits I've ever seen. The WWII section was obviously my favorite, but it was neat to see the evolution of warfare in the Musee d'Armee. Have to say though, the highlight was the tomb of Napoleon. Absolutely phenomenal.
