Today I went and waited 4 hours to go to Galleria Academia with a lovely girl Ingrid I met at the hostel. Thank god i had her company, the time went reasonably quickly because we just chatted away. It was worth it once we got in (after fighting with the American cow who accused us of pushing in as we were walking into the gallery). Today I set off to the Chianti region for Tuscan wine tasting. The scenery of rolling green hills was stunning. We went to two wineries and tried numerous delicious wines as well as the most amazing truffle olive oil and balsamic vinegar (all made at the vineyard). We also got a lovely lunch of bruschetta, cheese, salami, breads and pasta. On the way to Florence, we stopped in at Orvieto. It was a nice little hilltop city, I really just walked aimlessly along the streets, ate some lunch and stared at the Duomo which was colourful, a little eccentric but beautiful non the less. We arrived in Florence in the afternoon. After dropping my stuff off at my accommodation, I took a little wonder and found Florence seems like my kinda place, shopping everywhere! Didn't do a hell of alot during the day as I changed accommodation from Wow Colosseum to Plus Roma, the pick up point for Busabout. I met some girls on busabout and chatted to them by the pool. Later on I went into Piazza Rebubblica, had dinner with Erica (a busabouter) and then went to a night tour of 3 Piazzas (repubblica, barberini and navona) the Triton Fountain, Spanish Steps and the Trevi fountain. It was a great way to finish up my time in Rome.

Today I went back to Vatican City to go in St Peters Basilica. This was the hugest, over the top and unnecessary church I've ever seen. Regardless it was still absolutely beautiful. So much gold and marble lined its interior. I actually thought I might have got lost for a second (yes its that big!).
