We knew very little about Strasbourg. We had heard that it was a nice city but it didn't seem to have the same notoriety as Prague, Salzburg, or Budapest. "Nice city", what an understatement! It is a spectacular city. I likened it to Venice without the canals. Every corner you turn there is a picture to be taken. Beautiful architecture, an enormous cathedral, bridge after bridge after bridge. We could go on and on. Certainly the photos do not do the place justice (no sarcastic comments please); although it was difficult to choose which pics to post on the blog as I took so many.
A real destination city that no one seems to talk about. I rate it higher than the other three cities I mentioned earlier coming second only to Venice. You should go and see for yourself.
Tomorrow night, our last night sleeping in Guzzler, is at St Quentin, north of Reims. It's a long drive, around 6 hours. Then it is the ferry home at 5pm.
Apart from a couple of finishing pieces which I won't be able to complete until we get back, this is the end of our fantastic trip. Thanks to everyone who has followed our journey on this blog, and a special thanks to those who made comments.
See you all soon.

Wigs I am very envious of the trip you have had, and I must admit I thought that you would end up in spending more nights in B&B's than in guzzler!! From what you have blogged (look at me getting all techy!!) Slovenia and Strasbourg look good places to visit, shame Strasbourg is in France... would be even more appealing then!! Look forward to catching up when you get back..... i'll give you a few days to get your legs back before our next game as I don't want any excuses if you are beaten!! Have a safe trip back.... Jax's you deserve a medal!! :)
