As we set off for Croatia and Zagreb it was obvious that the weather had turned. Halfway to Zagreb the heavens opened and the rain came down in torrents. The temperature also dropped from the balmy 29C we were enjoying the day before to a miserable 10C - a fall of 19C!
The difficulty with Croatia is that Tom Tom does not have a map available so we had to navigate manually. I will never be rude about Tom Tom again! After going round in circles for 2 hours and having several rows we finally found our campsite. However, it was now 3.30pm, we were in the middle of a thunderstorm, and the bus would take an hour to get into town. We agreed to give it a miss. We needed to chill out, not drown in pouring rain and near freezing temperatures. Croatia then was a wash out - literally! Still, another time, maybe.
