Wigs I am very envious of the trip you have had, and I must admit I thought that you would end up in spending more nights in B&B's than in guzzler!! From what you have blogged (look at me getting all techy!!) Slovenia and Strasbourg look good places to visit, shame Strasbourg is in France... would be even more appealing then!! Look forward to catching up when you get back..... i'll give you a few days to get your legs back before our next game as I don't want any excuses if you are beaten!! Have a safe trip back.... Jax's you deserve a medal!! :)
re: Strasbourg, FranceDave I am sure it was just plain "lake Bohinj" when we visited in the 80's. Sounds as if it it trying to move upmarket. It is very beautiful. Were you brave enough to swim?
re: Jax byBohinjsko Jezero lakeHattie Great pictures Nick very reminded me of our visit to Slovenia, minus car damage and other mishaps of course - 'what do you meam I've been tetchy all week'! Glad you got a taste of the B roads! You are obviously racking up some wonderful experiences - glad you having such a good time.
re: Return to Sloveniasophie Hey. Just read this to grandma. She said it sounds lovely & the pictures are beautiful. Lookforward to seeing you soon. Love Sophie & grandma Xx
re: Return to SloveniaMargaret Blowey Hi Nick & Jaqui. Thanks, I am enjoying your photos & the Blog. It snowed on the mountains in Scotland whilst up there last week. Take care. Auntie Marg B.
re: Trieste, ItalyMum Hi Nick It looks like you are enjoying yourselves, plenty of food and wine. I look forward to the next update. Keep a check of how much it is costing you, i will be interested to find out. Mum
re: Trieste, ItalyRocky & Sarah Are you still speaking to each other? Remember when driving in Italy just ignore all the rules and drive as fast as you like, as long as you don't run out of fuel!
re: Trieste, ItalyNick Hi everyone, Sarahleen are you tracking us from Namibia, how are things going with you? Geoff, yes Slovenia is lovely, what's all this c**p about me stepping aside? Wiggy, of course we're c**p at sport, that's what we're best at! Great to hear from you all, this is a great trip looking forward to seeing everyone again soon. Nick and Jax
re: Trieste, ItalyWigs the weather has done the same here going from a sunny and warm 24/25 to a wet and windy14/15degrees ! you haven't missed much in the form of national sport with England being awful in the football and the rugby...the only silver lining being we have qualified for the Euro's! Badminton coming on strong...be afraid :) Snow in Zell am Zee which is about 1hr from Salzburg, hope you've got your thermals!
re: Ljubljana, SloveniaHattie Glad you have found Slovenia. It is a beautiful country - hope the roads have improved since we were there. I agree Ljublgana is a small and quaint capital. Hope you make it to Bled on your way to Salzburg and the roads hold up for you. Just to let you know Nick that there will be plenty yo occupy you with on your return. By the way the Thursday Tennis Bums have agreed it will be your turn to drop out on your return according to our revised rota.
