Arrived (wearily) at our campsite at Seraucourt-le-Grand around 4pm after leaving Strasbourg at 9am - a long drive!
The journey was slighly spoilt as we came across a very serious road accident. I mean very serious - police, ambulance and air ambulance; lights flashing all over; a coach and a lorry involved. Then we saw the worst of all: a car completely smashed with its roof removed to access the people trapped inside. On the passenger side there was laid a foil "blanket"; it seemed to be covering up a body. As the body was completely covered, I guess they had died. It dampened our spirits for a while.
This camp site was excellent; probably the best for the last night. It had free Wi-Fi, free showers, indoor table tennis and pool - all free. Pleasant surroundings too.
So now we are looking forward to our last pasta meal, a couple of beers and a glass or three of wine before a good nights sleep.
Ferry from Le Havre to Porstmouth tomorrow evening should see us home in Lympstone (hopefully) by around midnight.
