Both David and Pauline were busy today so Nick and I spent the day with Sasha and Charles. After breakfast we went to Cosco and did some discount shopping, picking up a bargain or two. From there we drove over the boomerang shaped bridge onto the island of . There is a very famous hotel on the island, lots of films have been filmed there, one of them was Some Like it Hot with Marilyn Monroe! They also say that Brad Pitt is one of their regular guests! It was very swish and right on the beach front.

Nick and I bought Sasha and Charles lunch as a thank you for the meal and comedy club that they took us to and paid for last night. After we'd eaten we walked along the beach, it was really hot today so was gorgeous down there, walking along with our feet in the sea. Charles got the kite from the truck and we had a great laugh flying/attempting to fly that for an hour or so. It took a while to get the hang of it but was such a good laugh trying. We then took a look around the town before making our way back across the bridge and back to the house.

Sasha and Charles left to go home today so we said our goodbyes to them. They are a lovely couple, so friendly and we both got on with them well. We will be keeping in touch with them on facebook and email.

We then spent some time on the internet doing our banking and trying to find a good day tour to the Grand Canyon from Vegas. Pauline very kindly offered us the use of their washing machine so we have been able do all our washing today too which is good.

We head to Las Vegas tomorrow on the Greyhound Bus. We have had a fantastic time in San Diego - we have done so much and the time has flown by, can't believe we are leaving here tomorrow already, feels as though we only just arrived!
