After going and having begals for breakfast Pauline dropped Nick and I at San Diego zoo, which is rated one of the best zoos in the world!

They literally have every animal you can think of there! When we first arrived we went on a bus tour of the zoo but after that was over we then walked around the entire zoo again to get a better look at all of the animals - this place is massive though, lots of walking! And we finally got to see Koala Bears as we never got to see any in Oz, they were adorable all cuddled up asleep. One was awake and eating, such a cutie. We also saw a panda bear, neither of us had ever seen one before so that was really cool.

They also had 2 polar bears, when we went up to see them the first time they were no where to be seen. They are up right at the top end of the zoo so we got the ski lift back to the other side. It was really good as we could see Balboa Park and also all of the animals in the zoo below us. After we'd been round the entire zoo we walked back up to see if the polar bears were about and we were in luck as they woke up whilst we were there and walked around together - they were so beautiful. We saw so many animals, can't list them all!

Pauline picked us up outside the zoo at the end of the day and we headed back for showers before Sasha (their daughter) and her husband Charles arrived. They are a lovely couple, really good fun. We all had take away pizza for dinner and played a few games before chatting and heading to bed. It's been a great day.
