After finishing out packing we had breakfast with David and Pauline before saying goodbye to Pauline as she was heading out for the day. A little while later David took us to the Greyhound Station where we waited for our coach to Vegas. We've had such a great time with David and family - seen and done so much, really had a great 5 days in San Diego.
Some very weird people on our coach!! I say coach but they are actually more like busses as well as being really old and mega grotty! When we booked there was no mention of a transfer but found out we had to swap bussed in San Bernardino. After about 2 and a half hours we got there and were told to queue behind gate 3 for the bus to Vegas, there was already some poeple waiting who had just bought tickets. When the bus we were booked on arrived there were only 7 seats as they had over booked! So it meant that all the poeple who were ahead of us in the queue got on and not us, highly unfair when we'd pre booked that bus and they hadn't! We were left waiting for the next bus to Vegas which arrived eventually at 6pm!
From San Benardino it is 4 hours to Vegas - we'd been looking forward to the scenery on the drive there but due to the delay when we transferred it was now dark so couldn't see a thing, boo. However, amongst the dark around us we could see lighter sky ahead and realised it was the light polution of Vegas in amongst the desert!
The bus dropped us downtown but drove past the strip (Las Vegas Boulevard) and we got to see all the big casinos! They're huge, we were both so excited. We got a taxi from the bus stop to our casino/hotel, Excalibur.
Vegas is insane, so many lights and people! When we checked in we got a free upgrade to a newly refurbished King room! We walked through the casino to get to Tower Two to get to our room, it's so cool. Our room is massive and really nice. It's almost midnight and we are shattered so off to bed.
We're in VEGAS BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!
