A relaxing morning walking around Florence. After the shock of walking out to about 8 degrees. I feel like I know the main parts of Florence now and know where I am going - sad to be leaving as it is a place i could spend more time easily. Didn't have to clutch on to my map like all the other tourists!! I visited most of the main piazzas again today and then had an early lunch - my last margarita pizza in Italy!

Travelled by the fast train back to Rome Termini stazione and then by taxi to my airport hotel. Have just arrived and checked out the facilities. Something to note is that this is the first hotel in Italy to have an iron in the room. Most other places even had notices to tell you that it is forbidden to iron in your room! Restaurant looks great although a little expensive

Will try my best to go to bed early as I need to be at the airport by 4:30am. Have booked a transfer for 4:15am! The sacrifices made for a cheap flight! Can't wait to see Vickie tomorrow in the Netherlands and explore where she lives :-) Vickie just informed me it is rather cold at the moment so will dress for it tomorrow.

I have had such a great time in Italy -all that I dreamed and much more! Glad I waited and did it when I had the funds available to do all the extras that make the experience so much more!

Nearly time to say Arrivederci Italia! I have certainly loved every minute!
