Unfortunately we did not stay here on Langkawi! We did love Langkawi though. Bordering Malaysia and Thailand just off the west coast. Langkawi was just busy enough to give it a great atmosphere but not overcrowded by a longshot. Perfect white sand beaches and crystal clear water. Really can recommend Langkawi as a must see island. Arrived on Penang after an 8 hour train journey from KL, with a 20 minute ferry crossing onto the island. The journey was great fun and some of the scenery on the way was fantastic.
