We have now travelled up the East coast to Surfer's Paradise. We stopped off In Coff's Harbour and Byron Bay on the way through.
We camped in Coff's Harbour, which was nice (just a bit cold at night). It is a pretty coastal town, and we got there just in time to watch the sunset on the beach. We started the next day with a walk down the beach, then we walked through the botanical gardens which had different areas and in the rainforest areas they had branches on trees which looked like snakes! I didn't really like that very much!!
Byron Bay is a lovely place. The beach goes on forever and the sand is golden and the sea is blue. The town is a bit more touristy but the shops looked good. The campsite was right on the beach - we managed to see another lovely sunset!
We are now at Lucy and Nick's and about to visit Coolangatta so will update more later.
