We only spent a night and a morning in Canberra as we discovered its true to its reputation!!! Not the most exciting city in the world but it is very pretty.

Canberra is just really a small city with a lot of parks and a nice setting on Lake Burley Griffin (named after the architect who designed it). we walked around the city saw Commonwealth Park, War memorial, Capital Hill, the lake and Old Parliament house. All very pretty and nice!!!

In the Commonwealth Park there was a spring flower festival with lots of old people!! It was nice to see the tulips and other flowers and the blossom, it felt very spring like. Its a bit wierd having that in September but nice as I don't really remember spring from this year - just the rain!!!
