The next day, our group piled into a crowded bus to visit the Highlands of Scotland. After a very, very long bus ride, with a stop in the quiet village of Pitlochry, we arrived at Loch Ness, which, to my surprise, was crawling with tourists.

It reminded me a bit of Rehoboth Beach.

We took a boat ride throughout the massive and tranquil lake which lasted about an hour before hurrying back to the bus. (the bus rider reminded us before each stop that he was indeed a mean bus driver, and WOULD leave us...an interesting foreshadowing to my fate later the next week)

We made several stops at picturesque mountainside views on the way back.
