Nat and Beck Go Large!
Its a bit of a shame, but every time we move into a room for a really short time we seem to meet really nice people. Back in room 205 for the last time, we spent our last night in Sydney packing and then went to Sidebar to use up our 2for1 vouchers. Well all except one girl who was a bit of a tit with a penchant for short shorts and is bezzies with the bloke from next door who's face really does Becky's head in.
We ended up sitting with an ex-couple from Manchester who were staying in our room. They were still travelling together even though they had split up and she now had a new boyfriend - obviously they're all very secure! Anyway, we had a giggle with them and our lovely little Leigh came to join us. It was really sad thinking about leaving her because we feel the need to look after her at all times. So it was quite emotional until Sexy Dan the singer/guitar palyer came on stage, at which point we all forgot that each other even existed!
About midnight they got off to bed and we met up with Deip. He was on full form but by this time we were a bit tipsy and more than ready for food and bed. We went around the corner to the local fast food place. Natalie cracks me up when she's drunk and hungry. She stood there demanding 'A chicken burger!' but unfortunately they were closing soon and only doing kebabs. Natalie stood her ground
Nat: 'A chicken burger'
The Man 'Chicken burger finish, only kebab'
Nat 'I'd like a chicken burger'
The Man 'Chicken Kebab?'
Nat 'CHICKEN BURGER!!'
The Man 'Kebab!'
Nat 'You're lying to me... He's lying to me ... I'm not standing for this... Im going to Ozturk (our fave kebab place) they'll make me a chicken burger!'
Becky 'errr soz....'
Later that night in Ozturk
Nat 'I'd like a chicken burger'
The other man 'Chicken Kebab?'
Nat 'CHICKEN BURGER!'
The other man 'Burger?'
Nat 'C.H.I.C.K.E.N B.U.R.G.ER'
The other man 'ohh chicken burger'
5 mins later
Nat 'Is it ready.... Becky do you have yours?..... Where's mine?...... Im not standing for this!...'
The other man 'What you waiting for?'
Nat 'C.H.I.C.K.E.N B.U.R.G.ER'
I nearly peed! Anyway, the next morning we got up, checked out, bought Leigh a Sydney survival kit (choc, plasters, cuppa soups - you'd have to know her to get it) and went for a baked potato. We got the shuttle bus to the Airport which was an experience in itself - this crazy bloke who didn't speak a word of English drove us in circles around the city centre a la Eddie Irvine picking up anyone and anything that looked even remotely like it was going to the airport. As we arrived he had to swerve out the way of stationary vehicle he hadn't noticed, and then proceeded to park in the middle of the road.
Anyway at least we arrived safely(ish) and got our chicken burgers in the end.
Lots of love Beck and Nat xxx
