Hi Kids,
Today was my last day in New York City! We wandered the city and found St Patrick's Cathedral. It is an amazingly beautiful place of worship! I felt very privileged to be able to spend some time in there.
We then caught a subway train from Grand Central Station. It is a huge network of railways and a grand building! I was gawking like a total tourist - my mouth wide open and the words "wow! Look at that" falling from my lips every few seconds! We went over to Brooklyn and the train went under the East River to get there!
I had to visit the library one more time as I had heard the reading room was extraordinary. I saw it for myself and I have to agree - what a room to read books and study in!
Then we visited Bryant park right behind the library and ice skated for a little while. This is the park featured in the Elf movie. It was fun to skate but I am not very good at it. I ate my first ever red velvet cake - it was yummy!
I then sorted through all my things and played origami along with trial and error until I got all my things packed safely into my bags!
I leave the hotel at 10am on Wednesday morning which is 2am Thursday morning for you. I arrive back in Brisbane on Friday at 8am your time. This means I will be traveling - driving to airports, checking in, changing planes, waiting for flights and basically being in an airport or airplane for about 30 hours. Then I have the 2hour drive home to Lismore. I will make sure I rest up over the weekend to ensure I am rested and ready to hear all your news.
I can not wait to see you all!
Ms Ellis x
