This evening on the way back to the hotel we stumbled upon a movie set. It was a rain scene and the people had us all stand on the pavement as they started the rain machine. Two cars drove down the street and one was a yellow taxi cab. All these extras walk along the sidewalk with umbrellas and the two main actors stand on the edge of the pavement in the rain trying to hail a cab. The male main actor had a paper in his hand. It was interesting and exciting. I am not sure who the actors are but the man was whisked away and as I walked past I got a photo of the lady. Not sure if she is really famous but she is in a movie important enought to stop the traffic and people in West 45th street.
Earlier today I went on a bus tour to downtown Manhattan. It went through the financial district. Then I walked through Central Park and visited Strawberry Fields where a memorial to John Lennon (one of the Beatles) is. It is across the street from where he lived and was shot to death.
I then strolled up to the National Naturalistic Museum. It had some great stuff in it. Here I saw a Christmas Tree covered in origami decorations, they were so clever.
When we exited the building we ended up in the subway! SO we caught the subway back to near Times Square. That was a crowded experience and I am glad that I did it.
Well I will say Goodbye until tomorrow. Keep up the spelling, writing, reading and mathematics plus learning your performance carols. Can't wait to hear you all sing. X
