Today I strolled through the Rockefeller Centre and saw the big Christmas tree that they bought in. It is being set up and decorated and will be unveiled on December the 1st. The unveiling of the Rockerfeller tree is a really big deal in New York. It is a huge tree and is held up by scaffolding at the moment.
We then went to Maddison Square Gardens it is a round arena where they show sporting events and concerts. I was up really high but could still the New York Knicks play the Indiana Pacers really well.
After the game we took a stroll down to the waters edge and caught a ferry out to see the Statue of Liberty. We were on the cruise as the sun set so were able to see the city from the water in daylight and when it was fully dark and lit up. It was an amazing sight to see.
Whilst on the ferry ride I got to see where the memorial for 9/11 is placed and how the freedom tower is being built near where the twin towers were. It is a busy place with lots of people visiting this site out of respect for the people who died there.
I am afraid that my luggage and $$$$ are limited but I do have something little for all of you from Los Angeles and New York. I also have some good prizes for the auction.
See you soon. X
