Sarah's Australia Trip
Today
didnt do a lot really. Went to KFC first because i was hungry and KFCs here are so much nicer than in the UK. then i sat on a bench. bad news. KitKat cookie dough chocolate bars are not as nice as they sound. kitkat caramels are much nicer.
While i was sittin on a bench watchin people and birds, a lady next to me turned ound and sed 'excuse me, that seagull over there has hurt his foot' she sounded very concerned, and i looked where she was pointing and yes, indeed a seagull had hurt his foot and was balancing on one leg. helpfully i said 'yes'. i have no idea wat she wanted me to do about it, as i know hardly anything about seagulls othre than they like chips and they poo whereva is inconvenient. i tried to suggest that it could probably hop, thinking she mite believe the bird to be completely stranded, left to stand on one leg. but she looked at me like i was the one who had injured the thing. i left shortly after this. i think this is where i lost my map.
walked down to darling harbour with the intention of finding out if the wildlife place was cheap. i picked up a leaflet from the sky tower. Found it eventually.
Behind the aquarium, there was a big red fence, the type they put up arund building sites. It had some very familiar photos on it...''we are building an exciting new wildlife experience...opening late 2006''
hmmm. sat and looked at it for a while. then felt a few spots of rain, i didnt have my umbrella with me so i scurried somewhere with a roof. but it didnt actually rain so i walked the rest of the way around the harbour. found yet another shopping centre, this one had a shop called 'british lollies' but i didnt actually recognise all of them. i bought a dip dab or wateva theyre called. havent had one of those since i was about 9. made a mess with it of course.
bought a slab of chocolate which was so hard it took me around half an hr/40 mins 2 eat. nice tho. prob wont buy another one of those.
ive written quite a lot considering i havent done very much...
anyway, bondi beach tomorrow. then a tour to the blue mountains on saturday. will let u know how it goes.
