A Semester Overseas
My internet has been down for the last couple of days so I haven't been able to update my journal. It keeps going off and on.
Last night Becky and I went to the Ballet. We saw Onegin by Tchaikovsky and it was really good. We didn't feel like waiting in line for 2 hours so we decided to buy seats for 7 Euro but it was only a partial view of the stage. The view turned out to be bad so we ended up standing through most of the performance. The standing room tickets for 3.50 Euro actually turned out to be a better deal since you got a better view of the stage if you don't mind standing the whole time. We sat next to a very nice lady in our box and we talked to her in German. It was cool because we could understand her pretty well so we could see that our german was improving.
Today my German class took another field trip to the Natural History Museum. It was really cool because my German teacher's husband works there so he gave us a tour and let us go on top of the roof where we got to see a really great view of the city. No one else is allowed to go on the roof so we were lucky that we knew someone who worked there. I took lots of pictures so I will be putting them up here soon!
I have my finals for German tommorrow and Friday before I leave to go on the three cities tour of Prague, Krakow, and Budapest so I better get to sleep!
