After a break from writing my blog, not that I haven't wanted too, just a lack of wifi to upload blog, so I have decided to write a blog for each big event/activities that I do.
Early morning game drive in the ruaha national park one of the more prestige parks in tanzania with under 9000 visitors a year.
What a great park not only for the animals seen but the great landscape and beauty of the park, several baobab trees 1000's of years old and lush green grass and vegetation.
The group were lucky enough to see a pack of bat eared foxes, lots of zebra, giraffe and most of all lions!
First pack was about 5 lions, 1 lion and 4 lioness.
Just lazing in the grass in the sun.
2nd pack was unbelievable, a pack of 15 lions. I had never thought I would see such a large number in one group.
Not only the number but they had killed a modest sized elephant and were happily eating away on the last of the meat and skin.
Luckily to our benefit the tour guide went off the road for a close up. Lions weren't fussed about us, and carried on eating and lazing under the tree. Got some great pictures.
