Transit day today heading to Chobe national park. Spent the night in Elephant sands looks like it will be a nice camp once the renovations are completed!

Boat game cruise on the Chobe river, seen a lot of hippos and crocodiles. Incredible animal hippos can't believe on Christmas day we will have hippos and elephants walking past our tents on the banks of the luwangwa river. Got chatting to a Nikki, Amber and Sebastian off another truck who have almost completed a 3 week trip from cape town to jo'burg. Talked alot about Namibia, which made me feel even more gutted that we are missing it

Quick breakfast and packed away tents ready to go back out on the delta. On the way back we managed to find some hippos in a near by pool, absolutely incredible seeing them from such a close distance. The delta has been by far the best trip we have done so far and will take some beating. 1 day and 1 night camping in the Okavango Delta. Picked up from camp at 7.30 on a truck which looked like something used in concentration camps. Arrived at poling station and loaded tents and cooking equipment onto mokoras and set off into the delta. Being paddled through the Delta and hearing the reeds scraping past the boat was so relaxing, could almost fall asleep.
