Early morning starts are s***! Wake up still pitch black and freezing cold = great start to the day.
This early start was actually worth it as we were heading to the Ngorongoro crater for a game drive,
What a stunning place, would of been a great view from the rim of the crater but there was a lot of mist. passed a lioness just casually walking on the road
Headed into the basin and first animal we seen was a pack of 6 lions, basking in the morning sun on the track and grass.
Seen hundreds if not thousands of wilder beast and Zebra.
Several buffalo and elephants. A few hyenas and jackels and one of the more beautiful animals a cheetah, although this was a 100 yards away still great to see.
We also spotted 3 black rhinos there are only 18 left in the crater now,
I think the ruaha was a nicer park this is mainly due to the scenic setting and actually seeing some lions feeding,
But all in all the crater is a magnificent spectical and a great game viewing park, a must see if you are visiting Tanzania.
