We woke up early this morning to find the caravan park shrouded in mist. After a quick trip to the toilets with the girls I climbed back into bed and by the time I got up again it was a beautiful sunny morning. We had coffee and breakfast in the sunshine and then began a morning of schoolwork. While the kids studied I made a lemon and poppy seed cake which turned out a treat in the turbo oven! After lunch we drove out to Oxley Wild Rivers National Park and walked the Apsley Falls Gorge - a stunning walk along the river and around the Gorge rim to view the upper and lower falls. The final part of the walk was closed as the path was falling over into the Gorge and the kids were delighted that they didn't have to go any further!! Once we got back home we ate the rest of the cake (I can't believe it all went in a day - our shopping bills are going to be horrific in the near distant future!!) and sat and read in the sun. Nick made everyone dinner and after showers the kids sat and watched their own movies with headphones on so that Nick and I could finish off the last 4 episodes of The Killing - awesome but I'm not sure about the end! We fell asleep listening to two possums carrying on in a tree outside our caravan and I was so proud of myself for identifying the sound!!
