Next stop White Sands Missile Range (WSMR). The drive there is worth the trip the view driving through St. Augustine Pass is enough to make you drive off the road. The New Mexico skyline is softly colorful set against the jagged mountains and the desert floor. There is a section of this area where the sand is white for as far as you can see.

I took a wrong turn on the way out of town and drove into the cemetery. I don't think you are supposed to drive through the cemetary.
