Leaving Paris was pretty easy by metro to the airport although I had to ask where my terminal was a few times. I jumped on my easy jet and an hour later I was on Italian soil! I took a bus into the center of the city right near my hotel. it took my a few times up and down the street to find where it was and when I did I was just relieved to get that backpack off! I went up to my amazingly charming room on the second floor where I overlooked the street I was staying on. Once I settled down I headed back to central station and went to Duomo square to see the big "thing" in Milan. As I walked up the stairs I was attacked by a local who threw a tiny string bracelet on my wrist tied it and yelled, 5 euro! I laughed said no 1, or cut it off, he said 2, I said fine. I walked into the square and hung by the cathedral for a bit and enjoyed my surroundings. It just so happened that the best shopping in Milan was RIGHT next door is this amazing warf style center. I walked around all the top shops for a bit then grabbed a paninni for lunch. I ended up buying a sweater because I am an addict and thought it was pretty amazing. After, I walked down to the other only thing in Milan through this park that was abot 3 miles away then walked back. I jumped on the train, headed back to the hotel, changed my shoes and headed to dinner. I found this little osteria that had vegan pizza so of course I had to go. It was my first pizza in italy made by a full staff of asian-italians. Not the most authentic first dinner in italy but it did the trick. I walked around the hood for a bit then headed back to the hotel and went to bed. The next morning, I got up nice and early and jumped on the train to Venezia! Overall I would say Milan is BORING ! it s pretty dirty, not much to do and the people seem a bit standoff-ish. I'm glad I got to see the amazing Cathedral there, but could have gone without.
