Santa Claus parade today; Father Christmas parade to the English! They closed the roads in the downtown core for the afternoon, whilst floats and marching bands proceeded to make their way along the parade route.

I stood there for 3 hours; maintaining my vantage spot! It was worth the wait though as they know how to put on a good show. I was getting quite into the festive spirit by the end of it. I had clearly turned up ill-prepared though. There were hordes of organised parents there, with their fold-out chairs, flasks of coffee and food. Before the parade began, it looked like a mass sit-in!

The RCMP were part of the parade too, and in all the excitement of seeing Mounties, I managed only a couple of blurred photos! I can say I have seen multiple Mounties now!
