Hi everyone,

We are currently in Koh Samui soaking up the sun and relaxing for the first time since we went away. To get here we had to get a bus from Bangkok which took 11 and a half hours, then a ferry which took 5 hours - we left at 7:30 in the evening and didn't get to the island until midday. The ferry made both of us sea sick, especially when a freaky guy facing us (who was wearing a t-shirt with ipood writen on it and a picture of a guy on the toilet) threw up into a see-through bag...lovely.

We are staying in a little hut at the moment and when we went to explore we turned the corner and were right on the beach. The beach itself is gorgeous, white sands and blue water. The sea is like getting into a bath its so warm.

We watched the football last night and were gutted that united won so Danny hit the Chang pretty hard. This morning we had a McDonalds for breakfast to make ourselves feel better. It didn't. They must have poured the salt on with a shovel (Mum Cooper would have loved it).

Not much more to report back on, it is only a beach resort really. We keep wishing we were in all the 5* hotels we have to walk past to get to the restaurants and bars though. We checked the price of one which didn't look too expensive and it was 9000 baht for the cheapest room (we're paying 400 at the moment).
