So after paying money to trek through the jungle at 32 degrees, you would think that we might have learnt our lesson... but oh no we thought it would be fun to be active and sporty again, so we hired bikes to cycle to every temple in the WHOLE of Siem Reap. Yesterday it was raining so we only visited Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom in a Tuk Tuk, which left us to cycle 21 miles today (we can hardly even sit down now), and on our way back we got caught in a thunder storm and were able to pour water out of our shoes by the time we got back to our guesthouse .
To get here from Bangkok we had to get on a bus for 14.5 hours and when we got here the coach took us to his mate's hostel which we reluctantly stayed the night in (it was late at night and we were in the middle of nowhere), we regretted this straight away as it was disgusting! We even stayed in our own sleeping bag liners and used our travel towels. We checked out asap the next day and are now in a nice hostel which is only $1 more! ($3 a night each).
Tomorrow we might get a hot air balloon over the temples to give our legs a rest. After that we are off to the islands for a well earned break (its hard work all this travelling you know). More Pics soon, we're running out of internet time.
A message from Michelle - Dad that was a very mean thing to say about my hair you know it doesnt agree with humidity! Its ok for you to borrow my straightners while i am away. Also Danny would like to publically thank me for looking at a 100 temples in the sun and putting up with his geeky enthusiasm.
All our love xx
