Today we leave to have a beach day after an amazing breakfast spread! We have our first croissants of the trip and they could not taste any better!
Once on our way to the beach, Hannah and I realise we don't have towels, d'oh! But we walk further along Kuta beach anyway luckily, we spit a poolside bar with free sunbed if you order a drink and you can rent a towel - sounds good to us! So we pitch up here for most of the day - access to the pool and right on the beach front so we spend a few hours jumping in the waves, they're so massive and Hannah and I get brave, divung under the ones that have crashed and bobbing over the ones that haven't. You can go so far out and it's still only up to your shoulders! Sarah goes in with Hannah to get her heart wet to try to get beach waves. It looks promising at the start but as it dries it is only a little more waves than it normally is - time to invest in a curling wand Sarah! We meet the owner of the pool side bar, he is from North London and we daydream about having his job here in Bali. He says he loves his job and his lovely customers - Sarah accidentally offends him by asking where these lovely customers are!! Haha!! We notice a McDonald's Golden Arches and want to check it out for any crazy meals, they're pretty similar to ours, just the price is different - it's about £2 for a Big Mac meal! There is a mcflurry kiosk outside and I'm disappointed that they're smaller than England but still go down a treat!
After our day of sitting in the sun we walk back to the hotel to get ready for dinner, we walk along the road and notice a band playing on the steps, in fear of missing an amazing band playing we watch for a while but it is not a band we know. We find a lovely restaurant opposite some live music but due to our late McDonald's lunch are not very hungry! Sarah orders a kids meal and I order a starter, Hannah doesn't even eat, mad'ead!! A guy starts playing a violin in the hotel and we enjoy the music whilst compiling our ultimate collage pictures of the holiday.
