Today is the day we move on to Seminyak so we pack up our stuff and leave our bags in the lobby to visit Kuta beach before we leave. It is so hot on the beach and I can only sit in it for about 15 minutes everytime before going for a paddle in the sea with Hannah. While we sunbath a lady approaches us and explains she is from Hungary and travelling alone. She asked if we would watch her bag while she went for a swim to cool off. When she got back we had a great chat with her as she has already spent a week travelling Bali and was off to Singapore. She was a teacher of preschool children and was travelling during her school holidays. She was very sweet and said travelling alone had toughened her up a bit! She gave us her leaflets that had cheaper deals on than the ones we had a wrote a list of places we should visit before leaving. It got to about half 1 and we couldn't stand the heat any more so went up to a small shack for a coke and to sit in the shade. We're all still pretty much the same colour as when we arrived but it's just too hot to go in the sun! We walk back to the hotel and get a taxi to our next hostel. It is about 30 mins and cost about £4! The capsule hotel has individual capsule beds and looks really cool. The communal area is open plan and the building is half open. There are lots of people socialising and playing music. We lock our stuff up in lockers and head to the beach using a little map on the back of a business card. It takes a long time to reach the beach and the road is not very nice one to walk, it is busy and there is no path. When we get to the beach it is quiet and there are a lot of dogs around! It doesn't seem as nice as the one we were at earlier. We decide to walk further along the beach as we can see some umbrellas. As we walk we pass lots of lovely hotels that back onto the beach but we're not sure you can use the facilities without staying there so carry on walking. We pass some big, loud beach parties! We must be getting old as we keep walking passed! We see a bar with bean bags set out and head over towards it. This is the best decision we've made as we have the best night!! As the sun sets the light above us on our umbrella comes on and we take some lovely pictures doing handstands on the beach and sitting on our beanbags. We order some beers and look out to sea. A man starts playing his guitar and plays an acoustic set, sometimes inviting some other people to sing with him. It's such an idyllic evening and we all buy a bracelet to remember it. We have dinner here, Indonesian fried rice, noodles and egg. We chat with our waiter who falls for every one of Hannah's wind ups! He high fives Sarah and moves his hand, poor Sarah! Haha. He tells us the guy singing came 6th on Indonesian X Factor in 2013. We wait till his set is over and go and meet him and have a picture. We get a taxi back to the hostel as we don't fancy that walk agin! People in the hostel are all just heading out but we sit on my bed and plan our next few days and some accommodation and do a standard puzzle! I find it harder to sleep tonight and it's Sarah that bails first this time! I've finished my book and messaged everyone at home before I go to sleep.
