Hi everyone!!

As you can see from the photos, Michelle and I have been having loads of fun visiting with furry creatures at both the Australia Zoo (and yesterday at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary!) We will be posting pix of the koalas, roos and other birds/animals later.

We spent a bit of time at the sanctuary with the kangaroos, petting them, as well as holding a koala. Our transport to and from the sanctuary was by boat. We had a great view of the city and Brisbane River and a nice commentary about the various suburbs and buildings on our way down. The ride back included conversation with several Aussies, including tips for our Sydney visit and relaxing with a cold, tasty beer...

We're heading out in a few hours for our next city, Cairns. Join us as we move along the countryside! Please post when you can, as it will make for a nice scrap book at the end of our trip!
