Today we have to move hotels to meet up with our travel group. Was able to face time with Holly and Sam , was nice to see their faces and talk to them. Hotel checkout is 12 so we have time to wander once again. It seems every time we head out we find somewhere we haven't been before. It's Sunday and much quieter this morning. A lot of the shops are not open but there is still plenty of activity around the Egyptian (Spice) Bazaar.
It is another beautiful day, clear skies and warm. We stop in Sultanhamet Square for coffee and a simit before going back to finish packing.
A taxi takes us to the Crowne Plaza Harbiye which is on the other side of the Bosphorus and in a very undesirable looking area but the hotel is only about 2 years old and we have a very nice room.
A massage is in order to relieve the tired legs and to prepare us for bus travel. Glenn chose a Deep Tissue and I went for Traditional Balinese Massage. 50 minutes of absolute bliss including a collagen face mask. I could certainly get used to a massage every couple of days! The joy if holidays!
We were stopped by a couple in the street asking if we spoke English and being a bit wary we were half expecting him to ask us to go with him to see his carpets! To our surprise his wife wanted to have her photo taken with me because I looked exactly like her grandmother who is in Lebanon! He said she was a very beautiful woman !!!!
Off to meet our fellow travelers now.
