MeznG. In the air, on the road, river or sea again
It's a scheduled sea day today the first of 3 consecutive which after yesterday has now become 4.
No need to get up so early but still it's 6.30 and of course Glenn is on the move and off to the gym.
It is so nice to get up and open our balcony door and walk out into the warm sea air. I love being warm.
I walk up on the open deck 15 this morning. It does involve maneuvering around sun lounges and also up and down stairs but the view and the fresh air is wonderful.
We have salmon on their annual migration up the coast jumping out of the water just below us as we cruise along the Guatemala coast and there are many many little dolphins putting on a spectacular acrobatic display. They are having so much fun surfing and jumping in the ships wake. The sea is quite gentle in that there is no white caps but there is a reasonable swell that has us gently rolling from side to side.
It's so nice to sit and watch the water and just enjoy these moments.
Today we get to see the video that was made of our Panama Canal transit. The photography and videography team were on the locks as we passed through and also they chartered a helicopter to get the aerial view. I found out today that you at home could have watched our transit live via the Internet at stupid o'clock in the morning. Oops too late.
While having coffee on our balcony Glenn spotted a turtle just swimming by. It was very close to the surface so very easy to see. The wildlife checklist is now quite extensive and that's very satisfying.
