Hello Everyone!I have returned from my trip to Margaret River. It was a 4 ½ hour drive down there, but totally worth it. It was fun riding on the bus with everyone, and we even got to make multiple stops along the way. After arriving at our hostel, we played an intense game of soccer and footie before heading for Lake Cave. It was amazing! I really liked the part where they turned all the lights off and then did a light show. The hostel was really simple but clean. There was 4 to a room with community bathrooms. There was also a nice kitchen, dinning room, lounge, and pool. Friday night we made dinner together- spaghetti and hung around the hostel before heading into town to the Corner Bar. We met a lot of nice people.Saturday was an early morning as we left for surfing. I was able to get up 3 times but it was so much work. By the end, my legs felt like Jello but it was so much fun! We also went on a wine tour Saturday afternoon and of course, a stop at the Margaret River Chocolate Factory. For dinner, we did another group meal with good old American hamburgers. Saturday night we laid around and played games as a group. It was a pretty laid back night and we were exhausted!Sunday we went abseiling. The cliffs were along the ocean with breath taking views! The first one we went down was about 10 yards and the bigger one, called stainless steel because it was so smooth, was about 40 yards high. It felt so weird to back over the edge of the cliff holding onto the rope. Quite a rush!School is still going well. I am beginning to take over more lessons but still observing to take in the cultural differences. Family life is busy but fun. I am definitely getting spoiled- lunches packed, bed made, laundry done. What a life! This week will be pretty calm. Tomorrow is Georgia's birthday with a party on Saturday. Saturday we are going to Fremantle to walk around and shop and then hopefully more surfing at Scarbrough beach on Sunday if the weather is good.Thinking of you!
