After an amazing nights sleep in a proper bed not in the middle of the ocean we set off on the long bus journey to the outback of Kroombit, Cattle Station. This was a real eye opener as to what Australia is like away from the city. This is a Cattle farm which is still running with real cowboys! We met everyone around the fire for a snack which was a lump of meat (Megan opted out of this one) Leanne tried some but thought it was disgusting( this turned out to be goat) so started talking to the bus drivers!!! We got settled then we had dinner which was 3 choices of soup with meat and veg for main! Then we went off to learn how to crack a real whip! (Leanne happen to be good which made a few of the guests ask if she had done this before, which i asure you she hasnt!!!) We then were highly entertained by the bull riding by some of the guests and played games around the fire until it was time for bed!
Morning came as a bit of a shock at 6am! Breakfast was only available from 6-7 which was a bit much a bit too early! We hopped on the coach and where took up to a field where a few of our group done some clay pigeon shooting while the rest of us were taught how to lasoo a goat! A lot harder than it seems! After a short while we each took it in turns to enter the goat pen and lasoo a goat which had to be done within 1 minute! Megan found this very easy and managed to grab her goat the second time around whereas Leanne is still running after hers today! We then went our seperate ways where Megan went for a long walk around the outback which was ment to take 30 mins if you were crawling however this turned out to be yet another Auzssie lie! It was about an hour and a half later where megan came across a field with lots of goats in it being moved from one field to another with people on horseback, It took a few moments for megan to realise that infact on the horses where some of the group including leanne shouting HEY UP UP UP at the top of her lungs!!! This was apparently what the goats on this farm hate so thats why we were shouting it to get them to move! Stubborn little animals they are!! We left cattle station in the morning for Hervey Bay/Fraser Island.
