Checked out of our motel at 10 am prompt and headed north to Wanaka and Puzzling World. Firstly we had a go at the Maze that has two, yes TWO levels to it but got rained off so we headed into illusions rooms.

We were greeted by a wall of different holograms in the first room. From Clowns to girls with guns they were truly marvelous. Then we headed into a room that was at a 15 degree angle from horizontal. Immediately we both felt sick like we had been too many light ales and pretty much just fell over. We saw all sorts of amazing puzzling things in this room including cue balls that appear to move themselves and water that flows up hill!?

We then entered the wall of faces where as you walk around 3d moulds of famous people appear to lean out and follow you around. Very freaky!!!

Finally we ended up in another illusion room that from the right angle appeared to make us grow or shrink as we walked through the room. For once pez was smaller than Maz.

After all this confusion we decided to "relax" with some hot chocolate and more puzzles that were scattered around the cafe tables. At first it was plain old fun but then pez turned into peter and resulted in him spending TWO whole hours on one puzzle. Much to Maz's non enjoyment. Alas, after a little help from the instructions Pez nailed it and we could finally continue on our journey north.

Our next stop was to be 'Fox Glacier', so we drove through the sunset til we arrived there at night fall...
