hola
i am writing this blog sat in an internet cafe in oruro because i was too lazy to write it on our last day in sucre! we have spent 4 nights in sucre.sucre is one of the capitals of bolivia(for some reason they have 2) allong with la paz.
on arrival after a 7 hour bus journey we checked into a hostal that was actually more like a hotel! we even had the luxury on the first night (not knowing there where two bed in each room) of having a room all on our own! which felt very strange and lonely! on the first day we wonderf out onto the main plaza to find the much talked about "dino truck" whichwas a truck with dinosaur claws on that picked up tourists and took them to a nearby jarassic park kind of thing(much to our surprise the dinosaurs where not real and where just life size models! FEW!) at this park we had a english speaking guide telling us all about the dinosaur findings in south america then she pointed out a giant wall with dinosaur footprints on it! (real ones as well)
on the second day we had a day to chillax and wonder about the streets of sucre just seeing whats what! and later on finding an internet cafe that had games such as a game called flat out 2 which was too stupid to even explain! but we ended up playing a highly competitive event!
on the third day we did a bit more wondering and then that evening went to a place called joyride cafe where we thought we would have some food and maybe a "few" drinks! this few turned into a very considerable amount as we both ended up being smashed to say the least! the night involved me running around to an american guys room in my boxers saying that there was gunna be a party! then running off! then we ended up in a very very strange night club which had kareoke in spanish which we both tryed to take up with very very little success so singing wonderwall over the spanish song seemed like a very good idea at the time! later on that night we ended it like any good night with a thong (flip flip) flicking competition which resulted in me flicking mine onto a balcony across from our hostel which the next day had half of the community (including a travel agent and a security guard) trying to help me get my flip flop off the balcony as the people that owned it where on holiday in potosi! this took up a good hour or so! but it wasnt until the next day when i got it back after finding a ladder to get myself up there!
anyway, we are now in oruro which we have heard rumour of a devil festival tomorrow im sure max will tell all in the next blog
hope all is well back in england
