Friday 25 July 2008 Hired a motor bike today and rode into Thongsala and bought a wall hanging pf the 'Om' sound (the sound of creation) hand painted on cloth. Very cosmic. Rode around for 2 hours. Thursday 24 July 2008 The weather has taken a turn for the worse. There's a howling gale, spots of rain and it's still hot. I hope it's not a typhoon. The manager says it's not. Wednesday 23 July 2008 Hiring a jeep The resort manager Tor suggested I hire a jeep instead of a motorbike so I did. The jeep had floor gears, bad steering, no power and it was very noisy. I drove to Haad Rin beach and back and it took one and a quarter hours. There were a lot of hills and the jeep could only make it up a hill in first gear. Tuesday 22 July 2008 Checking out of Baan Haad Ngam today catching the fast boat to Koh Pha Ngan at 13.30 hours. Sunset Cove Resort Arrived at Sunset Cove around 3pm. Nothing like Baan Haad Ngam Resort on Koh Samui. Much more laid back and casual. Not good service and the food is nowhere near as good. Also doesn't have the excitement of Koh Samui. Monday 21 July 2008 Sunbaked on the beach for 20 minutes and it was so hot that was all I could stand. Spent the rest of the day listening to my reggae mix on my Ipod in the shade by the pool.
