Hiring a jeep
The resort manager Tor suggested I hire a jeep instead of a motorbike so I did. The jeep had floor gears, bad steering, no power and it was very noisy. I drove to Haad Rin beach and back and it took one and a quarter hours. There were a lot of hills and the jeep could only make it up a hill in first gear. It was a nightmare to drive so I took it back and got most of my money back.
TOUR OF KOH PHANGAN
The resort manager Tor agreed to give me a guided tour of the sights because of my bad experience with his recommendation of the jeep.
Petch Temple
There was a Buddhist monk called Petch who died about 90 years ago. He is famous and still revered today because he performed a miracle by stopping a typhoon hitting the island. He had so much energy coming from his heart to stop the storm that his shirt ripped open. They have his footprint and his remains and a statue of him.
Koh Phangan National Park and Waterfall
The park is all dense foliage and jungle. Not much of a waterfall and dirty, stagnant water.
The Chinese Temple
The Chinese temple is a photographer's delight. See photos.

Foot massage
Had a wonderful 1 hour foot massage with a woman called Nand at the Cosmic Energy Massage Centre. I told her I was a poor sleeper and she said if I get a tattoo of a gecko crawling up the side of my neck I would sleep well and have good dreams. I wonder, ha ha ha!
